  23. You're right.  That's what an object replacement plug-in could do for
  24. you.  It would replace the geometry at every frame.

  28. Depends on what you want.  Let's use a clock as a frame of reference and
  29. say that you want a wedge that grows from (12:00, 1:00) to (12:00, 3:00).
  30. You make a wedge that's (12:00, 3:00) and create a clip map sequence that
  31. reveals the object over some number of frames.

  33. The clip map is going to act like a cookie cutter, and this has some
  34. consequences.  One of the sides of the wedge will be missing, and if the
  35. wedge is beveled, that side won't be.

  37. Basically, the wedge won't look like it's growing so much as being swept
  38. out or revealed.  This quality will be shared by the several variations
  39. that have been suggested, all of which cookie-cut the wedge in some way.
  40. Not that that's intolerable, but it is a limitation.
